Printer repair or replacement

Postby CamHiggins » Wed Sep 27, 2017 11:42 am

I have a Canon MX 922 that I purchased a while ago. I like it and, if necessary, I would buy an identical model as replacement for under $100. In the middle of a long print job printing stopped with a Support Code of 6000. It appears that this code is often associated with a paper jam. To the best of my ability, there is no paper jam. I am looking for a contact who could help me decide whether to repair or replace. Do any of you have any suggestions?

Best Buy Geek Squad suggests that unless you are replacing a printer that is originally worthy in excess of $500, it is not worth while to spend the effort and cost to try to fix it. I elected to let them recycle my broken Canon, and purchased an exact replacement for just under $100.
